In this course, students will learn how to evaluate their businesses to determine whether or not it’s time to consider developing a team. From there, we’ll take a dive deep into types of team structures, how to start a team, how to search for talent, the pros and cons of different compensation structures, the practical legal and accounting issues associated with hiring, and much more. At the end of this class, students will have a strong understanding on what it takes to build a successful real estate team and be able to make an informed decision about what is right for their own business.

About the Instructor

Koki AdasiWashington, DC native and Realtor Magazine ’30 under 30ʹ recipient, Koki Adasi has passion for three things in life: Family, Basketball and Real Estate. Koki has been an active member of the greater DC real estate industry for 10 years, and works with clients in DC, Maryland and Virginia. After working with hundreds of buyers and sellers over the years and being an investor in the market himself, Koki knows the DC area inside and out. With this knowledge and experience, Koki’s clients receive the ultimate guidance during their home buying and selling process.

A graduate of Magruder High School and Mount Saint Mary’s University, Koki currently serves as President-Elect for the Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS® (GCAAR), is slated for GCAAR President in 2019 and is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Diversity Committee. Some may also recognize him from his appearances on HGTV’s House Hunters or CNN’s The Situation Room.

Outside of real estate, Koki’s time is spent with his family, in volunteer activities or on the basketball court. He has served on the Board of Directors for YMCA Youth & Family Services since 2006, and was recognized by the Greater Capital Area YMCA as Philanthropist of the Year in 2011.
