Congratulations to the 2021 Circle of Excellence

The 400 North Association of REALTORS® held the 2021 Circle of Excellence on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Hotel at Avalon. The most outstanding group of REALTORS® in North Georgia's real estate industry gathered to celebrate excellence during the past year. Circle of Excellence Chair and Master of Ceremonies, Jamie Mertz, along with President Tom Becker, oversaw a lively and entertaining evening.

This year's Circle of Excellence recognized 317 members including 10 who reached a Phoenix milestone. This is a testament to the health and vitality of real estate in Dawson, Forsyth, and Lumpkin counties. We congratulate all of this year's COE Members!

Georgia Buys New Voter Registration System After Long Lines in 2020

Georgia has announced that it will be replacing it’s statewide voter registration with new technology that could prevent the long lines that have plagued recent elections. The new system, nicknamed GaRVIS for the Georgia Registered Voter Information System will be replacing the previous EectioNet system that had the tendency to buckle under the weight of high turnout and the unprecedented absentee ballot adoption that occurred in October 2020. Election officials say the new system will cost less than $3.5 million.

RPR will provide NAR’s REALTOR® members access to a national database of robust information which will give REALTORS® the greatest access to nationwide property information needed to best serve their clients and customers. RPR is a parcel centric system which will aggregate all available data sets and attach them to a property, including tax assessment and public record information, notice of default, REO, foreclosure and pre-foreclosure data, MLS/CIE-provided information, zoning, liens, permits, school districts, flood plain maps, demographics and much more.

Second Round of Input Meetings Offered For Forsyth County Comprehensive Plan Update

The Forsyth County Comprehensive Plan serves as a policy guide for decisions made in relation to growth and land use change. The plan addresses critical issues and opportunities through the incorporation of a shared vision for the community's future. Foster Forsyth 2022 is a 12-month planning effort that will culminate in a partial update to the County’s Comprehensive Plan, which will include three rounds of community input via in-person and online activities.
