YouTube Live Ethics Course
Special COE Event: Wed, June 27 | 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for this unique Code of Ethics offering that satisfies the NAR Biennial Code of Ethics training requirement. REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within a two-year cycle. The current two-year cycle will end Dec. 31, 2018.

Annual Holiday Luncheon Held December 1st

The 400 North Board held our Annual Holiday Luncheon at the Forsyth Conference Center on Friday, December 1st. Each year, this event is held to network with our peers and to support our communities by collecting toys for those less fortunate. In addition, we chose to celebrate and honor the many volunteers who make our organization so successful.

Biennial Code of Ethics Training Deadline: December 31, 2018

Between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018 every REALTOR® is required to complete 2 ½ hours of Code of Ethics training and report it to your local Association/Board. REALTORS® who joined the association after January 1, 2017 and have since completed the required New Member Code of Ethics training, have already fulfilled this training requirements. All other members must complete the training by December 31, 2018 to continue their membership with the 400 North Association of REALTORS®.

Highlights From the NAR Board of Directors Meeting
Federal
After visiting members of Congress and the U.S. Senate, the important business of the NAR takes place. On Saturday, May 20, the NAR Board of Directors met to discuss pressing issues for REALTORS and our industry. The BOD debated matters such as changing the structure of Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), opposing rent control measures and implementing legislation to prevent frivolous ADA lawsuits.

DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond paid a visit to a combined meeting of the Government Affairs Committees (GAC) from the residential and commercial boards. CEO Thurmond discussed issues that affect the real estate industry, such as economic development, the water crisis and transportation.

REALTOR® Safe Harbor
REALTORS® often need a simple way to find safe, public locations to meet prospective clients. REALTOR® Safe Harbors are locations who have agreed to allow REALTORS® to meet at their office. REALTORS® can now simply use this app to quickly find all Safe Harbor locations in their area. The location can be quickly forwarded to a client with a few clicks. Mobile apps are available for iOS and Android and can be found by searching for “REALTOR® Safe Harbor” on the App Store or Google Play.
